人们举办这场庙会，是为了纪念唐代一位“神奇”的医学家——“药王”孙思邈。

“食养乃安身之本，食疗为先。”孙思邈相信，真正的良药，就藏在日复一日的寻常饭菜中。

“消未起之患、治未病之疾，医之于无事之前。”平常注重养生，便有机会远离病患。

传说记载，孙思邈活了141岁。他所撰写的《千金方》传入日本、朝鲜等国家，对当地的医药学科产生了深远影响，被国外学者推崇为“人类之至宝”。
