立夏：绿意浓 夏日始

The Beginning of Summer is the first solar term of summer, usually beginning in May. It marks the time when warm breezes grow stronger, all things thrive, and the earth is draped in lush greenery.

立夏，是夏季的第一个节气，通常始于五月。它意味着温风渐盛，万物繁茂，大地披上浓绿的盛装。

The Tang Dynasty poet Gao Pian described the Beginning of Summer in his poem“Summer Day at a Mountain Pavilion”:

The summer day grows long with thick green shades of trees;

The pavilion’s reflection ripples in the pond with ease.

唐代诗人高骈在《山亭夏日》中这样描绘立夏：

绿树阴浓夏日长，楼台倒影入池塘。

Another poet, Yang Wanli, also captured the season in his poem“After a Noon Nap in Early Summer”:

The plums leave sourness on my teeth to linger soft;

Bashful banana leaves stretch green to my window aloft.

另一位诗人，杨万里在《闲居初夏午睡起》中写道：

梅子留酸软齿牙，芭蕉分绿与窗纱。

May you bloom as brilliantly as summer flowers, and make the most of your golden years.

愿你如夏花绚烂，不负韶华。
