中国人把一年分为二十四节气。立春作为二十四节气中的第一个节气，标志着从冬到春的过渡。这是一个万物更新的时节，大地披上崭新的绿色外衣，生命在每个角落悄然展开。
A Song Dynasty poet, Su Shi, portrayed this solar term in his work "River Scenes on a Spring Evening."
宋代诗人苏轼在其作品《惠崇春江晚景》中描绘了这个节气：
Outside the bamboo, a few peach boughs shine,
Ducks know the spring river begins to warm.
Wormwood fills the field, reed buds are fine,
'Tis the time the river puffer starts to swarm.
竹外桃花三两枝，
春江水暖鸭先知。
蒌蒿满地芦芽短,
正是河豚欲上时。
